2025 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Redesign
The 2025 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is expected to be a redesigned and improved version of the famous off-road SUV. Although limited information about the upcoming model is available, the sixth-generation Cherokee will likely feature electrification and a larger body, making it more versatile and eco-friendly.
The current Cherokee Trailhawk is known for its impressive off-road capabilities, including a 1-inch suspension lift for added ground clearance, underbody skid plates, Jeep Active Drive Lock 4×4 system with four-wheel low mode, and exclusive front and rear fascia. The 2021 Grand Cherokee Trailhawk also boasts a 4×4 system with a two-speed low transfer case, capable of transferring up to 100 percent of the available torque to a single wheel, allowing it to tackle some of the most challenging terrains.
The 2025 Cherokee is expected to continue offering the latest safety features, such as blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, and lane departure warning. On the tech front, the SUV may receive Jeep’s latest version of Uconnect and more giant touchscreens, although further details are yet to be revealed.
One of the most significant changes for the 2025 Cherokee is the introduction of electrification. While the same powertrain options are still unknown, a hybrid or plug-in hybrid system will likely be offered, similar to the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe models. These SUVs come with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors, producing a combined 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque and a 17-kWh battery pack.
The interior design of the 2025 Cherokee is also expected to receive an update, featuring a new dashboard, HVAC controls, and center console. A rotary dial for the transmission may replace the traditional shifter, providing a more modern and streamlined look.
Although no official images or concrete information about the exterior design of the 2025 Cherokee have been released, it is speculated that the model will adopt a boxier strategy, similar to the Grand Cherokee and Wagoneer models. This would give the Cherokee a more contemporary appearance, in line with Jeep’s newer SUVs.
The release date and pricing for the 2025 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk are yet to be announced, but the SUV could arrive before the end of 2024. Once available, the Cherokee Trailhawk will continue to compete in the compact SUV segment against rivals such as the Ford Bronco Sport, Mazda CX-50, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Kia Sportage.
